Coffee Filters are NOT only for making coffee!
Coffee Filters are NOT only for making coffee!
About two years ago we decided to replace our coffee maker. The new one required a totally different type of filter. There were boxes of filters bought for the old one and now they were useless. Then I found different ways of using those filters. Here are a few creative uses for coffee filters. Just try! You will like it…
- Put a filter on the bottom of your flower pot container, over the drainage holes. This keeps the soil from leaving the container while still allowing water to run through it. Smart huh?
- A coffee filter is excellent for spreading oil on a cooking pan/tray. I tried paper napkins earlier, but fibers break off in oils.
- Shield stacked china from scratches by layering a filter between each plate.
- Coffee filters are great absorbents. Put under fried food to soak up excess grease.
- I sometimes shine my glasses with coffee filters. The results are amazing. No lint! So, you can shine computer monitors, television screens, and windows too.
- They are great holders for Hot Dogs, sandwiches, etc… Also, can be used as snack bowls.
- Try to shine your shoes by applying a drop of shoe polish… It is amazing!
- You want to bake jumbo muffins? OK. a coffee filter can be your muffin paper. Just spray oil first.
- Your husband cut his face while shaving? How about a small piece of coffee filter for stopping the bleeding?
- Place a few tablespoons of baking powder and essential oil in a filter, twist the top, and tie it with a rubber band. Now it is ready to remove the bad odor wherever you place it. Shoes, gym bags, closet, fridge…..
- It is a practical doggy food bowl
- You have kidney stones and your doctor asks for it for analysis? How will you catch the stone? Use coffee filter for filtering your urine.
- You can filter yogurt and get thickened yogurt.
- How about wrapping Christmas ornaments?
- Use as a bowl cover in microwave oven
- Filter homemade soup stock
